We've Secured a T4 Vehicle for “Service on Wheels” Conversion for the 4th Rapid Reaction Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine!
We received a request from the 4th Rapid Reaction Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine for a vehicle to serve as a mobile repair unit ("Service on Wheels") for frontline repairs. The specification was clear: a T4 Syncro (4x4 drive).
While looking for a van suitable for such a mission, we initially considered a standard Transporter. But then we came across a T4 flatbed (valník) — and, importantly, in the Syncro 4x4 variant. It was available nearby and at a great price of 49,900 CZK, so Vasyl and I agreed to go see it.
We met with the owner, Mr. Jiří Krátký, and the technicians Vasyl had arranged. Mr. Krátký kindly showed us the vehicle and gave us all the time we needed to inspect it. The engine was in good condition. The vehicle had a different turbo — designed for a lower-performance engine — so it lacked some power, but that was manageable. A deeper inspection revealed no critical issues.
Mr. Krátký, understanding that the vehicle would be used to support Ukraine, offered us an even better deal — 48,000 CZK — and even arranged the export license plates for us. So we took it.
