Trench Candles Are Reaching the Front to Help Soldiers Fight the Cold!

As cold weather returns, we’ve begun delivering trench candles to the front lines.
We transport them personally, along with other essential supplies, or ship them via Nova Poshta to the closest drop-off points where soldiers can collect them.

It’s heartwarming to see that such a small item can bring genuine relief and joy to soldiers in the trenches.

A Small Tin, A Big Effort

It may seem like a small thing—but we know just how many volunteers and donors are behind each and every candle:

The donors in Slovakia who supply us with tins – especially the wonderful team at Silgan.
Martin, who handles cardboard wick production and secures the packing materials.
Wax donation drives organized in schools and parishes, with the support of children, parents, and church communities.
The organizations led by Kateřina and Eva, who coordinate donor outreach and material pickups.
All the volunteers involved in candle assembly – including students from Kunratice School (many of them from Kharkiv, Ukraine), friends, and family.
Adam and Jirka, who manage wax logistics and oversee finalization, melting, and pouring.
And of course, the drivers and couriers who ensure both raw materials and finished candles make it to Ukraine.

Thanks to the efforts of dozens of people, we’re able to supply the front in large volumes with this mobile source of warmth—for heating trenches, food, water, clothes, and as fuel for trench stoves—almost entirely without the need for financial resources.
