Repairs on the Vehicle Are Underway

Once again, thank you for your incredible support.
Because of you, we were able to purchase the vehicle and get to work.
The fundraiser was set up to cover the purchase price listed by the seller. However, the car had previously been in an accident, and required repairs.
Support From Our Garage Partner
A few months ago, we established a partnership with RADAC Auto Service, and we sincerely thank them for generously repairing the car free of charge, in support of our humanitarian efforts.
We had a spare door from the previous owner, but the window was missing. We managed to find one at the lowest price in Ukraine, and thanks to the help of volunteers, it was brought to the Czech Republic by bus.
The repair was more complex than expected:

Steering components had to be replaced, as they were damaged in the accident

Bodywork was also challenging – the door and threshold were damaged, and the chassis had to be aligned on a frame bench

Since the vehicle is body-on-frame, the main concern was sealing the cab against the cold
The end result is fantastic.
What’s Next?
The next step is to spray-paint the car in the color chosen by the unit.
They’ve picked an interesting shade—we’ll reveal it in our next update and explain the reason behind the choice.
