We've Completed the Modifications of the T4 "Service on Wheels" Vehicle and Prepared It for the Front Line

In response to a request from the 4th Rapid Reaction Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine for a mobile repair vehicle to serve on the front line, we moved the T4 flatbed to Western Ukraine, where it underwent the necessary repairs and upgrades.

The following work was completed on the vehicle:

  • Engine oil and transmission oil changed, including new filters

  • Dust boots (CV joint covers) replaced in both the front and rear

  • Rear differential oil topped up

  • Replacement of alternator and power steering belts (2 pieces) and idler pulley

  • Installation of a used ECU (engine control unit) for the turbocharger and subsequent cleaning

Thanks to these upgrades, the vehicle now starts and runs significantly better!

Since the vehicle arrived in Ukraine later than planned, there wasn’t enough time to repaint it in advance. Vasyl's wife, Alena, took on the task and painted the T4 in khaki green herself. We then commissioned a custom-built steel frame for the flatbed cover — a welded structure made of rectangular steel tubing.

After that, we had a custom tarpaulin made to fit the frame. Once the vehicle was fueled up, it was ready for deployment.

We named the T4 “Jirka”, in honor of our colleague who has been incredibly helpful with the project and its public outreach.

Huge thanks to:

  • All the donors who supported the purchase and upgrade of this vehicle

  • The amazing mechanics,

  • Alena, Vasyl’s wife, for the paint job,

  • And the entire team involved in transforming the T4 into a fully operational service unit!

Together to victory!

We will endure because we must, because we want a better world for our children.
