Helping Ukraine Becomes an Official Non-Profit Organization

Since the start of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, we have worked tirelessly as a grassroots volunteer group. To increase our efficiency, improve our transparency, and better respond to growing needs, we are proud to announce that we are now operating as an official non-profit organization.
Why This Matters
-
Becoming a registered non-profit gives us a stronger voice when working with Czech authorities, government institutions, and potential partners.
-
It makes organizing fundraising campaigns easier and more transparent.
-
It simplifies the logistics and documentation needed to deliver aid to Ukraine—especially when crossing borders.
-
We are now able to engage in direct dialogue with ministries such as the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Health in the Czech Republic, something that wasn’t feasible as a group of private individuals.
Our Structure
We continue to work as one unified team across two countries:
-
🇺🇦 In Ukraine, we operate as SOHTASH, registered as a Ukrainian non-profit under the leadership of Vasyl Andrishko.
-
🇨🇿 In the Czech Republic, we are now Pomáháme Ukrajině, z.s., with Jan Riedl as the statutory representative.
We share the same mission, values, and goals. Our joint website remains:

Transparency and Responsibility
Transparency has always been one of our core values. Now, as a non-profit, we formalize this:
-
All donations will be handled through a transparent bank account.
-
Detailed financial tracking will be available for anyone who wants to see how their contributions are used.
-
We continue to share photo and video documentation of our aid deliveries whenever possible.
-
Feedback and words of gratitude from the frontlines in Ukraine are regularly published on our website and social media.
We Keep Going
We will continue our work for as long as it takes. Our mission is clear:
To support those defending their homes and freedom, and to reduce the risk of war spreading further into Europe.
💙 Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for not leaving Ukraine alone.
Sláva Ukrajině! Героям слава!
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
