We have secured the first evacuation van (T4) for the 71st Armored Brigade, and the second one is already on its way — but we need your help!
Today’s shift was special – we welcomed Tomáš, who also makes trench candles with a group of volunteers in Prague 6 – Břevnov.
As the founder of the nonprofit organization Pomáháme Ukrajině, z.s., I have launched a fundraiser to support the production and delivery of trench stoves and candles for Ukrainian soldiers.
We received a request for evacuation vehicles from two units – the 71st Jäger Brigade and the 65th Mechanized Brigade – which is why we decided to launch this fundraiser. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we hope to meet their urgent need.
It all starts with the will and desire to help. And when everything comes together, the result is a product that truly makes a difference – one that reflects our mission. That’s exactly what happened in this case.
Since the beginning of November 2024, we have successfully shipped 10,000 trench candles (standard size meat tin – 96/61 mm) from our production line this winter. That’s 200 banana boxes weighing 23 kg each, totaling an incredible 4,600 kg of material!
One practical way to help is by providing items that are within reach – things we don’t need to purchase, that serve little to no purpose here but can be life-saving elsewhere. One such example: fire extinguishers.
We've now moved trench stove production to the Czech Republic, prompted by war-related circumstances – and the first 26 units are complete!
At our first public trench candle assembly event of 2025, held at the end of January, we collectively produced 1,182 candle bodies ready for wax pouring.
Hardly had we unloaded a new batch of tins from our generous donor Silgan Packing Metal in Nové Mesto nad Váhom, and we were already back at work—this time on preparing cardboard.
Our long-time donor and steadfast supporter has just provided us with 10,200 tins for producing trench candles.
We loaded the vehicle along with essential supplies onto a car transporter and delivered it across the border.
Together with my brother Martin, we masked and spray-painted the vehicle ourselves.
Thanks to the donors on Donio, we successfully raised funds for an off-road vehicle—and we’ve now begun repairs and modifications.
These photos and videos aren’t just for us—they’re especially for our donors, to show that your support truly matters. Thank you!
As cold weather returns, we’ve begun delivering trench candles to the front lines. We transport them personally, along with other essential supplies, or ship them via Nova Poshta to the closest drop-off points where soldiers can collect them.
Tučňák, the monthly magazine of Prague 4 District, features us in its November issue. We sincerely thank the editorial team for the publication and for assisting us in finding suitable space for our work.
Last year, we launched serial production of trench candles, started wax donation campaigns, and managed to secure enough wax for larger-scale production. We continue this mission into the new year.
We’ve begun transporting our newly produced trench candles to western Ukraine, from where they will be distributed to the units we support.
